United Methodist Men

All persons who follow Jesus are called to grow spiritually through the practice of various Christian habits, or “means of grace". Jesus taught his disciples practices of spiritual growth and leadership. As Disciples of Christ, we are to share with others as they look to us to be models and guides. United Methodist Men invites you to connect with us as we keep our eye on the central reason for this ministry – to help others grow to a mature faith in God that moves them to action on behalf of others, especially “the least”.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, God will meet you there.

The UMM meet the fourth Saturday of most months at 7:30 am at Thomas House Restaurant in Dayton.

Check out the Calendar of Events for their upcoming meeting dates.

Parking-Lot Christmas Caroling

The Otterbein Men’s Fellowship supported an Old-fashioned Christmas Carol Sing in December.  This was truly a team effort.  A special thanks to our bakers of hundreds of delicious cookies for the goodie bag – Bev Earman, Pat Wingert, Susan Pollard, Sandy Bopp, and Joyce Jellum.  Melissa Miller helped prepare the programs, the decorations for the bags, and the Legend of the Candy Cane bookmarks.  Members of the Men’s Fellowship filled the goodie bags and passed them out as folks arrived. Sandy Schaefer planned the music and played the piano for our carols.  Adam figured out the sound system so Sandy’s playing could be heard across the parking lot.  The new church history books were available for purchase and pick up.  We had many enthusiastic carolers attending and participating.  Even the weather cooperated with unseasonably warm temperatures and sunny, blue skies.  All in all, it was a lovely day enjoyed by everyone!
