Adam has served as the Senior Pastor at Otterbein UMC since 2014, coming to the church after having served for seven years at Glossbrenner UMC in Churchville. Adam and his family have made their home in Harrisonburg for the past 20+ years and all four of their children attended school in the city. Adam is graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College and earned his Masters of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. He volunteers as a Chaplain at Sentara RHM, serves on the CPE Professional Advisory Group, and is the Co-Chair of Valley Interfaith Action. Adam enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his family.

Sandy is the Music Director and Organist at Otterbein UMC. She has been a member of the music staff at Otterbein since October of 2004. As a young girl at Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield , Illinois, Sandy was inspired by music, worship, and the church’s pipe organ which she wanted to someday learn to play. Sandy holds the degrees Bachelor of Sacred Music from Illinois Wesleyan University and Master of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She has served churches as organist and music director for over thirty years at churches in Illinois, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia. Sandy considers it a blessing to work with the members of Otterbein’s dedicated and talented music ministry, including the Handbell Choirs, Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir and College Chorale. Sandy has two children, Jonathan and Elisabeth and a Shetland sheepdog, Harper. Also on the music staff at Blue Ridge Christian School, Sandy teaches private piano lessons, directs the High School handbell ensemble and accompanies the school choirs. A lifelong baseball lover, Sandy is an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and enjoys all D.C. sports teams.

Melissa has been the Office Manager at Otterbein UMC since May 2010. She is a graduate of Bridgewater College and is an active member of Mt. Horeb UMC, where she enjoys planning events for her church family. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and working on craft projects.
