United Methodist Women

UMW Logo.jpg

United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of missionthrough participation in the global ministries of the church.  The Purpose is adopted by the General Conference of the United Methodist Church as the official mission statement of United Methodist Women. Out of the Purpose are four mission empheses: to be a community of women, to know God, to develop a creative and supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission.  Each emphesis relates to the mission initiatives and priorities of United Methodist Women and the Women’s Division.

Do you enjoy helping others through mission work?  Any woman who commits herself to the UMW Purpose and chooses to belong is a member of the United Methodist Women.  Members are expected to support the organization's programs through prayers, financial contributions and acceptance of leadership responsibilities.

The Otterbein UMW meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:15 am in Room 204.
