United Methodist Men

UMM-logo_plain.jpg

All persons who follow Jesus are called to grow spiritually through the practice of various Christian habits, or “means of grace". Jesus taught his disciples practices of spiritual growth and leadership. As Disciples of Christ, we are to share with others as they look to us to be models and guides. United Methodist Men invites you to connect with us as we keep our eye on the central reason for this ministry – to help others grow to a mature faith in God that moves them to action on behalf of others, especially “the least”.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, God will meet you there.

The UMM meet the fourth Saturday of most months at 7:30 am at Thomas House Restaurant in Dayton.

Check out the Calendar of Events for their upcoming meeting dates.

On Sunday, August 27, 2023, the Otterbein Men’s Choir sang two selections for
the Worship Service.  Learning on the Everlasting Arms and One of These Days were
the songs.  Former College Chorale member, Ricky Goodwyn, Jr., brought the message.

August 28, 2022, was celebrated as United Methodist Men’s Sunday at the morning worship service of Otterbein UMC.  The Men’s Choir sang two anthems, Standing on the Promises and Count Your Blessings.  Bringing the morning message was guest speaker, Rev. Ed Pruitt.

UMM Meals

At least two times during the year, the Otterbein United Methodist Men’s group prepares and serves church-wide meals in Memorial Hall.   Around March, a delicious Spaghetti Supper is served and in December the Men prepare a pancake and sausage brunch following Worship. The fellowship meal includes special toppings (strawberries, whipped cream, and blueberries).  Our group enjoys wonderful fellowship as we prepare and serve these meals.  Donations go to various church and community needs.
