Rev. Faith Fowler
Associate Pastor of Health & Wellness
Faith is the Associate Pastor for Health and Wellness at Otterbein UMC. She joined the Otterbein staff in August of 2018 after serving for four years at John Wesley UMC in Harrisonburg. Faith graduated with a Sports Medicine Degree from Pfeiffer University in North Carolina and earned her Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2000. Over the past 20 years, Faith has served in a variety of ministry settings. In Washington, D.C. she worked in the inner city with those struggling with homelessness and addiction. She founded and directed a non-profit racial reconciliation youth ministry, and served as associate pastor for youth on Capitol Hill. Upon moving to New Jersey, Faith combined her education and passion for fitness and ministry to begin Fitness with Faith, L.L.C., which included Christ-centered personal training, small group exercise classes, and inspirational teaching and training about integration of body, soul, and spirit. Faith has lived in Harrisonburg since June 2012 and has two children, Solomon (13) and Sarah Grace (6). In recent months, Faith has come to understand health and wellness in a new, more holistic way that holds together the reality of brokenness and suffering with the hope and promise of full redemption in Jesus Christ. The pain and struggles in her own life have birthed within her a new appreciation for God’s gift of each new day and the desire to humbly come alongside others who are on their own journey of healing.
